Mariel Rodriguez on Robin Padilla: ‘Right away tumatak na siya sa akin’

Mariel Rodriguez was looking radiant and happy during the first episode of Pilipinas Win Na Win last July 31, which everyone attributed to the fact that she was reunited with Robin Padilla. And now that they’re going to work with each other on a regular basis, Mariel admitted that it’s something to look forward to everyday. “Win na win! E ‘di hindi kami magkakaproblema,” she cheerfully began.

The bubbly actress remained noncommittal, however, when asked if she’s already in love with the action star. “I am always in love. Lagi ka naman ‘yan sinasabi. Hindi ko naman yun idine-deny na I am in love with my work and myself. Yung kay Robin sinabi ko naman nung pumasok pa lang siya ng Wowowee at sinave niya kami nung unang beses pa lang, dun pa lang minahal na namin siya. Personal [opinion] ko na yun, right away tumatak na siya [sa akin],” she stated with a big smile on her face.

The fact that Robin was very vocal about courting her was something she really appreciates since it’s one way to see that his intentions are sincere. “Siyempre masaya naman to have someone say na nanliligaw siya. Anong lagay ng puso ko? Gusto ko yung sinabi ni Piolo (Pascual, when asked about the status of his own love life), steady. Mas maganda kung kalmado lang. I like steady!” But she insisted that she needs more time to decide if she would let Robin into her life. “Tignan natin. Nakakahiya magsalita kasi nandyan lang siya o, baka marinig niya.”

Mariel refused to elaborate on the real score between them especially when the subject about her new diamond ring came up. She was seen wearing it on The Buzz a few weeks ago and rumor has it that Robin was the one who gave it to her. “Kasi I talked to Tito Boy (Abunda) and he gave me his opinion na if I wear it, it means I’m ready to talk about it. If I don’t wear it, it means I’m not ready to talk about it. [Look], I'm not wearing any ring,” she exclaimed with a laugh.

Although she has yet to confirm that Robin gave the ring to her, it’s pretty obvious that Mariel is happy with her love life right now. “Siguro bahala na kayo mag-interpret kung paano niyo gustong i-interpret. [Pero] hindi ko naman sinabing si Robin ang nagbigay. Ang sinabi ko lang it's just a ring.”
